Hello again, everybody. Finally I went home from the hospital. I only be there for two days. This is the first time I’m home. It’s nice and comfortable and at least it gives a better environment, privacy and flexible time for my mom to nurse me. That’s what my parents say.

Pulang dari rumahsakit Effi merasa lebih nyaman untuk menyusui Kenzo. Meskipun ASI masih belum keluar juga, Effi berusaha keras. Puting pecah-pecah juga dialaminya. Dengan terus perpendirian bahwa kami akan memberikan ASI eksklusif untuk Kenzo, Malam pertama dan kedua di rumah kami awali dengan jaga malam. Semalaman Kenzo nangis terus tanpa kami tahu sebabnya.

Once again I thank Dorris who gave us her ASI in plastic bags. Wah, Kenzo ini minum ASI-nya impor. Hehehe….

Saat itu kami punya 3 kantong ASI yang diberikan oleh Dorris. Kami memberikan ASI itu dengan botol. Sementara ASI Effi masih belum juga keluar, namun tetap saja Effi tidak berhenti berusaha menyusui tiap hari.

Effi memompa ASI nya dengan menggunakan breast pump merek Madela. Merek yang menurut kami cukup bagus dibanding yang lainnya. Meskipun berjam-jam dipompa tak ada sedikitpun ASI yang keluar. Tapi satu hal yang membuat saya bangga akan Kenzo, setiap saat Effi menyusuinya, dia tetap mau menghisap walaupun mungkin tidak ada yang bisa diminum dari mamanya.

Setelah 5 hari akhirnya keluarlah beberapa tetes ASI dari Effi. “Yay..!!!” Effi semakin rajin memompa dan berusaha menyusui, tetapi Kenzo membutuhkan lebih banyak untuk diminum, dan ASI Effi tidak mencukupi, sementara persediaan dalam kantong plastik sudah habis.

Kami sedih melihat Kenzo menangis terus kelaparan. Teriakannya makin keras dan tidak berhenti. Memang sih, menurut yang saya baca, bayi tetap akan bertahan bahkan sampai seminggu tanpa diberi apapun, sampai susu ibunya keluar secara alami. Tapi saya tidak menemukan caranya bagaimana bila bayi menangis terus kelaparan. Kenzo seolah berteriak, “Mommy, I want my food! Give it to me, mommy, I am hungry!”

Terus terang dalam pencarian saya di internet, banyak yang berkata bahwa bayi akan bertahan lama sampai ASI ibunya keluar. Banyak yang memberikan pengetahuan tentang hal ini. Banyak juga yang memberikan tips bagaimana agar ASI lebih lancar dsb. Tapi pada saat dalam perjuangan, apa yang harus dilakukan bila melihat bayi menangis kelaparan? Saya tidak menemukannya. Apakah sebagai orang tua kita harus tega membiarkannya?

Kami sangat sedih ketika akhirnya kami harus menyerah. Kami memberikan susu formula Kenzo untuk pertama kali…..

I felt a total loss that time. It feels like I had to give up all that I fight for and believe for that long.

Meskipun saat itu Kenzo mulai minum susu formula yang katanya lebih enak rasanya dari ASI, dan minum dari botol juga lebih enak daripada minum dari mamanya, tiap kali Effi menyusinya Kenzo tidak pernah menolak. Hal yang paling kami takutkan adalah bila Kenzo mulai menolak susu mama karena sudah merasakan ‘nikmatnya’ susu formula dari botol.

Kenzo, since you were a baby you already made me proud. You never gave up trying. You did your part well eventhough we haven’t fulfill your need. As parents we promise to never stop trying to give you the best for your needs.

Note : Pada saat saya menulis artikel ini, Kenzo sudah minum full ASI, dan kami sudah tidak lagi menggunakan susu formula untuk Kenzo. Praise the Lord!

Hello everybody, if you see the title of this post “Hello World!”, it doesn’t mean that this is the first post of this blog like the common WordPress blog. This is me Kenzo, saying hello to you all. Well, at least that was my parents did for me. My full name is Kenzo Gratia, and this is my story.

Tgl 24 Maret 2009 adalah hari pertama Kenzo melihat dunia. Bagaimana tidak? Mungkin beda dengan kebanyakan bayi yang lain, sejak hari pertama Kenzo lahir matanya sudah melek. Setelah penantian selama satu hari di rumah sakit, dari tanggal 23 Maret jam 11 siang akhirnya besoknya lahirlah Kenzo pada jam 4.45 dini hari.

Hello guys, long time no see Yes, I have been absence for a long time I guess. I have to admit that it is hard to be consistent writing and keeping this blog updated. My apology to all my fans.

Me and my wife Effi, we both like Pizza so much. We often celebrate our moments together at Pizza Hut. Like what we did on my birthday, we had a good time together there. As you see in this picture, my wife Effi is pregnant, and the delivery is gonna be soon! It has been 9 months.

My apology to start the story with sad thing here. I’ve lost something valuable when I ended my career as a part time art & craft / drawing teacher. From that day I realized that I was a fully entrepreneur who works by my self and not depending on monthly salary at all.

Fortunately that is not the end of the story. Actually it was only the beginning. God already prepared something else for me. Something far better.

On the same day that I spoke with the principal, I found TNX, a site that allows us to buy or sell links on their marketplace. Within a month since I’ve joined TNX, I already get more than I expected
